COLLEGE OF COMPUTING AND INFORMATION SCIENCES

In 1994, SPCF has produced the first graduates of BS Computer Science in the Region. Within the succeeding years, Computer Science Program has expanded to integrate with other disciplines. In order to keep pace with this computing demands. SPCF establish a strong and innovative academic programs centered on information technology Education (ITE) namely. BS in information Technology (BSIT) and BS in information Management (BSIM). This further served the evolving higher education and employment needs of the students and the community.

Recognizing the growing importance of advanced study in IT education, in 2000, a graduate program “Master in Information Technology” (MIT) was offered. Once Again SPCF took pride to have been granted recognition in IT Graduate Study, which is first in the region. In that same year. The College of Information Technology Education (CITE) was established offering both graduate and undergraduate programs. The present organizational structure was adopted after the intensive consultation and review by the Technical Panel (TPITE) of the Commission on higher education, in 2012 CITE was renamed College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS).

From 2007 to present CCIS has retained its Center of Development (COD) status in IT education and programs and was recently granted level II status in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology by the Philippine Association of College and Universities Commission Accreditation (PACUCOA).
