THE COLLEGE OF NURSING WINS BACK-TO-BACK IN THE TWO RECENTLY CONCLUDED INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES.

The College of Nursing participated in the two international conferences as its tradition in disseminating research works to the community. The Synergizing Partnership in Advancing knowledge, Research and Service (SPARKS) International Conference 2019, which is being hosted annualy by Our Lady of Fatima (OLFU) along with its Research Development and Innovation Center (RDIC) held last November 26-27, 2019 at OLFU RISE Tower, Valenzuela, Metro Manila. Its theme was “Positive Disruption in Higher Education” focusing on the different challenges of tertiary  education instituitions with regards to the execution of teaching-learning activities among their students. It was attended by 300 delegates. Topics emphasized the best practices in teaching strategies including the utilization of flipped classroom and technological platforms being used by international colleges and universities around the globe.

Before the conference proper, oral and poster research presentations were held. The presenters were Dr. Christian Jay S. Orte with his research topic “Comparative Study on Patient Satisfaction on Healthcare Services Delivery in Selected Private and Government Hospitals” and Prof. Aristotle M. Parico’s “Surfacing the Perspective of Nursing Students towards the Filipino Tradition “Mano po.” Dr. Christian Jay Orte won 3rd Place in the Virtual Poster Presentation along with the other presenters from other countries like Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Philippines and USA.

Prof. Junefaith Elese C. Neo, Prof. Aristotle Parico, and Dr. Carlo Borrico presented at the recently concluded 3rd Udayana International Nursing Conference last November 30, 2019 at B Hotel Bali and SPA, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia hosted by Udayana  University with the theme: “Global Health: Escalating Evidence Transformation into Practice, Nursing and Health ‘Perpetual Challenge.’ This event was attended by 400 delegates coming from Indonesia, Japan, USA, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. Dr. Carlo Borrico hailed as Best Oral Presenter with his study entitled: “Coping with Menopause: Measure that Women Can Take.” As of this time, they are waiting for the acceptance of the papers for publication at the SCOPUS Index-Journal, which will announced by the Committee from Udayana University.

Last year, Dr. Christian Jay S. Orte won the BEST ORAL PRESENTATION at RIAU International Conference at RIAU, Indonesia while Dean Regie Bautista was also awarded as BEST ORAL PRESENTER at 3rd International Conference in Health Sciences (ICHS) 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

These achievement are TRUE TESTAMENT that the College of Nursing embraces the qualities of a true SPCINIAN – GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE specially when it comes to the dissemination of RESEARCH PAPER in the field.
