SPCF Bags Several Awards in the 2nd Central Luzon Hospitality and Tourism Skills Competition

Selected Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism students won several awards in the recently concluded 2nd Central Luzon Hospitality and Tourism Skills Competition with the theme “The Filipino Culinary Landscape towards Global Excellence in Hospitality and Tourism Industry” held at the College of Immaculate Conception, Cabanatuan City on February 28, 2019.

Patricia Godsgrace Alfonso maintained her winning streak on Virtual Tour Guiding adding another silver medal to her collection. Glowing with Pinoy pride, the Miss Universe-themed Cupcake Display was the masterpiece of Kurt Venczar de Guzman and Jefferson Bernardo fit for a top 3 finish, winning them a bronze medal. On the main culinary event, the very innovative trio of Mauvic Manialung, Tracy Ann Carole de Guzman, and Angielica Petronio Kerr successfully survived the challenging Market Basket with their take on modern Kapampangan cuisine which received compliments and approvals from the professional Chef-judges, enough to award them a silver medal.

Team SPCF was also composed of Brazmeena Abdurajak, Trisha Aquino, Charm Obiacoro, Nathaniel Sevilla, Ruth Ann Benitez, Ronalyn Fajardo, Klinten Manaclang, Kyle Austria, Hirozaki Lozano, and Ricky Lopez, coached by Ms. Theresa Velasco, Mr. Joe Mari Carreon, Ms. Ballerie Mara, Ms. Whenzee Bartolo, Mr. Roel Agustin, Mr. Ramon Lim, and CHM Dean Rennier Perez.

The Central Luzon Hospitality and Tourism Skills Competition is an annual event organized by the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines – Region III participated by top colleges and universities and attended by hundreds of hospitality and tourism students in the region.
