Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing

The Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) program is the study and use of concepts, principles, and techniques of computing in the design and development of multimedia products and solutions. It includes various applications such as in science, entertainment, education, simulations, games and advertising.

 

Highlights/Strengths of the Program:

BSEMC program, major in Game Development students will be exposed to handling various roles throughout the game development lifecycle: A Game Designer who designs gameplay conceiving and designing the rules and structure of the game, a Game Artist who creates video game art, a Game Programmer who primarily develops video games or related software (e.g. game. development tools), a Level Designer who creates levels, challenges or missions for computer and/or video games, Sound Engineers who are responsible for sound effects, voice acting and other sounds, and Testers who carry out quality assurance.

Also BSEMC program major in Digital Animation aims to prepare students to be digital animation professionals who are equipped with both creative and technical knowledge, skills and values in conceptualizing, designing, and producing animation products and solutions, and in managing such projects over different technology platforms. The program enables the students to be knowledgeable of the whole pipeline of Digital Animation projects.

The students will acquire the independence and creative competencies to articulate project design and requirements of new projects, not necessarily based on standard templates.
