Systems Plus College Foundation was organized in Balibago, Angeles City on June 27, 1985. Its primary purpose was to conduct seminars for those who were planning to enter the electronic data processing field as programmer encoders or system analysts.
Systems Plus started tutorial programs for student and professionals on July 7, 1985 (The School's Foundation Day) with just 10 enrollees. By the following year, the number of enrollees jumped to 86.
It offered associate courses such as Electronics Service Technology, Computer Technology, Computer Secretarial, and Computer Science. The courses were specially designed to meet the emerging technical demands of the Province of Pampanga. The opening of new courses was instrumental to the increase of the student population from 600 in 1987 to 1,200 in 1989.
The school was renamed Systems Plus Institute Foundation, Inc. an educational institution of higher learning specializing in computer education. It pioneered the offering Bachelor of Science in Region III. This was the school's contribution to the increasing global demand for computer professionals.
In preparation for becoming a four-level educational institution, the name of the school was changed to Systems Plus College Foundation,Inc. Along with the new name, the school broadened its vision, mission and goals, from a basically provincial viewpoint to one with a global perspective. This year also marked the offering of more Bachelor degree programs, such as Computer Engineering, Computer Secretarial, Computer Education, Computer Technology and Business Administration , as well as the establishment of the High School Department. The school decided that student should be introduced, at an early age, to a well-balanced training in the arts and humanities with a very solid foundation in Information Technology.
In June 1996 the main campus added the Elementary Department, thus the Basic Education Department was now formed. In response to the thrust of the Commission of Higher Education and in keeping pace with the demands of global competitiveness, New Bachelor Degree programs in Information Technology, Information Systems, Nursing, Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Management were added to the course roster.
Continuously living its aspiration to carve a significant influence in the lives of its student, it offered additional Bachelor degree program in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Accountancy, Social Work, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Communication Arts, Political Sciences, And Office Administration. The school also offered Master in Information Technology status Awarded by Commission on Higher Education. For SY 2012-2013, SPCF offers new programs in Criminology, Customs Administration and Real State Management.
Today, Systems Plus College Foundation, Inc. has evolved into a total educational institution. It has emerged as center of excellence for human development. It has continuously produced graduates, who are service-oriented, responsive to the needs of the industry, innovative and active participants in the shaping of our country's future.
